Welcome to the Hutcheon & Pearce High Performance Academy (HPA) Apprenticeship Program!
Are you ready to kick-start your career in the agricultural industry? Look no further than the Hutcheon & Pearce High Performance Academy Apprenticeship Program. Our program offers a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts, gain hands-on experience, and develop essential skills for a successful career in machinery operations and maintenance.
As an apprentice you’ll attend Orientation Week in February to meet your teachers, the H&P Management Team, your support network and your dedicated Training and Apprenticeships Coordinator.
Your Training and Apprenticeships Coordinator will be your direct liaison throughout your apprenticeship. They will coach, guide and monitor your learning whilst managing your apprenticeship administration.
A HPA Apprenticeship will provide you with trade certification, John Deere product-specific training via the John Deere University and the Hutcheon and Pearce High-Performance Academy Training Facility in Wagga Wagga as well as Hutcheon and Pearce professional development programs and pathways.

Join the Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology at TAFE NSW’s Primary Industries Centre in Wagga Wagga. This program combines structured training with practical experience, preparing you for a dynamic career in agricultural machinery.
🛠️ Program Structure
- Years 1–3: Formal Training
- Engage in 6 weeks of intensive training each year.
- Participate in blocks of classes at the John Deere High-Performance Academy in Wagga Wagga.
- Receive instruction from industry experts, covering topics such as engine service, electrical systems, hydraulics, and GPS technology.
- Year 4: On-the-Job Experience
- Apply your skills in a real-world setting to address specific areas for improvement.

Step into the fast-paced world of agricultural machinery support through the Certificate III in Automotive Sales. This two-year program combines structured training with real-world experience across multiple departments—giving you the skills to become a key player in our parts and service operations.
Your Role: More Than Just Parts
This isn’t just a desk job. As a Parts Apprentice, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—face-to-face with customers at the counter, on the road delivering parts, on the phone helping customers find exactly what they need, and behind the scenes in the warehouse keeping everything running smoothly. You’ll also work closely with the Service Team to source the right parts and attachments—whether it’s for urgent repairs or brand-new machinery deliveries. No two days are the same
